MRC St. Cloud has placed consumers with disabilities or other barriers to employment into entry-level to professional-level employment since 1990.

Individualized Placement

Individualized Placement assists with building self-esteem and confidence during the job search. Consumers begin their placement process by completing a Job Readiness Skill Building Packet to ensure they are prepared for the job search process and then move into Internet for the Job Seeker Training, a free course offered to all consumers enrolled in placement through MRC. Consumers attend weekly job clubs, which include employment-related discussion, work readiness sessions with MRC business partners, and one-to-one counseling time with their employment specialist. All consumers placed are followed post-placement to ensure job stability.

Job Skill Building Packet – This tool will determine readiness to begin the job seeking process. Individuals need to complete this packet—which includes a mock application, job contact sheet to research 10 local companies, financial evaluation form—and complete a draft of their resume.

Employment Services Job Organizer – Individuals who complete their Job Skill Building Packet will receive an Employment Services Job Organizer which includes a yearly pocket calendar, upcoming job club schedule, binder with job contact sheets to keep track of employer contacts, resumes sent and interview information, and copies of finalized resume.

Business Partner Involvement – MRC utilizes a 15+ member Business Partner Council for all of our Job Club presentations. The Business Partner Council guides MRC to provide the essential pieces that employers are looking for in the workplace. MRC’s Business Partner Council provides our consumers with vital feedback to gain and retain employment.

Internet for the Job Seeker Training – MRC offers a free Internet for the Job Seeker Training to our active consumers. Consumers will learn how to utilize the Internet for job search and how to fill out online applications.

Post-Placement Follow-Along – Monthly follow-along contact.
